He is an 8 week old male cairn terrier, a red brindle in color. Right now he is sacked out in his crate and dreaming puppy dreams. He is totally precious and a real love.
Here he is taking his first steps in his own front yard.

He's very young and very small so all he does is eat, poop, pee, and play, not necessarily in that order.
Here is Daddy and his little son.

We still need a name. We're thinking about: Hamish, Robby, Sean, Seamish, Rory, but none seem quite right. Any suggestions?
Sunday Morning:
We made it through the night. He slept in his crate by my bed from 11:00 to 3:44 a.m. when he started whimpering very quietly. I put my hand down beside him and he went back to sleep until 7:00. We gave up and got up. He has had breakfast, been outside in the BIG backyard and is back inside playing again. All is well.
More pictures and updates soon...
Here are some more...
Rory faces the front. Held by Mommy.

Rory faces left.

Rory shows us a quarter profile. Irresistible.

Rory sound asleep.

Rory discovers Daddy's best sock.

Hope you liked these. I'll wait now until he actually changes a bit. :-)

YAY! PUPPIES!! Thanks for starting the day off right, CF - enjoy your new fur kid. Cuddle him for me..
We've decided on Sandy (dim. of Alexander) for him. He doesn't know it yet, but he likes it. :-)
Good show, we love dogs. Give him a great big hug from our dogs.
John and Liza
Hi John and Liza,
Thanks, and Duffy sends hugs back. What kind of dogs do you have?
Oh yes, we've changed his name already. Now he's MacDuff, Duffy for short.
Good Morning, If you go to our blog you can meet our dogs. Side bar has a slide show. They are Penny, Bella, Charlie and Mozart
Enjoy your day,
John
Your poochies are wonderful! I'll bet they keep you entertained!
What a cutie!!! A terrier puppy, you are braver than I am;) I must admit, they are the cutest little guys.

Oooooooooh - heart melting here!! MacDuff, love that name!! What a cutiepatootie ... :D
oh WHAT a cutie!
Cute little booger, whatever you end up calling him!
We tried a few, Sandy dim. of Alexander, Duffy short for MacDuff, but non seemed to really fit. So, we've decided on Rory.
Hi Rory ... :)
CF, you don't have to wait -- any and all photos will be appreciated ... :D
Hi Roses and Lilacs. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, terriers are a type unto themselves. You just have to understand that they will do what you want, you just have to wait until they're done with their current project. :-)
Hi Olivia (twice). We just adore him and he is a good looking little one. One ear has now flopped down. Typical for stand-eared puppies. Up then down then up again...
He slept through the night last night which is a VERY good thing. :-0
Okay, more pictures will be coming. Yeaaaaay!
Hi MaryB and FarF. Thanks for coming by. Our little Rory weighs only 3.5 lbs and barely that. But it's an action packed 3 lbs.
More photos to come.
Oh my gosh! He's ADORABLE!!!! :)
Thanks, Kim. Already he owns the house and we set our schedule to match his. :-)
Oh my, what a bundle of joy, all that cuteness! Congrats on the new baby.
Oh man Beth! He is ADORABLE!!!! Can't wait to see more pictures!!
Hello IGW, thanks for coming around. He has two speeds, full blast and deep asleep, just like any baby.
Hi Melissa,
Thanks for coming around. I'll be posting more soon. We have been shooting digitals so often the batteries are heating up. :-)
